PASTOR – Rev. Dr. Chris Denny

The Reverend Dr. Chris Denny has a Bachelors Degree from Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC.  He has both a Masters of Divinity Degree and Doctor of Ministry Degree from Columbia Theological Seminary.  He has pastored churches in North Carolina and South Carolina.  Before moving to Columbia, Dr. Denny and his family lived in Elizabethtown, NC.  Dr. Denny and his wife, Alle have a son, Charles.  He is active on the web through a blog sharing prayer reflections on scripture at  Dr. Denny’s sermons are also available online at


MUSIC MINISTER – Bonnie Pruitt


Bonnie Pruitt has served as the Director of Music Ministry at Westminster since July of 2012. Bonnie grew up in Morrow, Georgia (just outside of Atlanta).  The daughter of a Baptist Minister of Music, she has been involved in church music for as long as she can remember.  She earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and the Master of Music Education Degrees at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.  For the last seven years, Bonnie has been a music teacher in Lexington School District One.  She began her teaching career teaching chorus and orchestra classes at Pelion Middle School.  She is currently the orchestra director at Carolina Springs Middle School.  Bonnie is also a member of the Lake Murray Orchestra.   She and her husband Ken were married at Westminster in July 2011.


ORGANIST – Norman McCorkle


Norman is a native of Salisbury, NC.  He is a graduate of Shenandoah University and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with majors in history and music and has done graduate work at Wake Forest University.  He has served in churches in both North and South Carolina.  Norman retired from the SC Department of Archives and History where he researched and wrote the inscriptions for the official state historical markers.  Norman and his wife, Linda, are the parents of two children and six grandchildren.




Liz grew up in Columbia, SC.  She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from University of South Carolina.  She previously worked in finance and insurance.  Liz has managed the church office and church membership since January 2016.
